Beheaded Wife, Husband Denies Murder

A man who allegedly beheaded his wife has pleaded not guilty to murder. Naveed Ahmed is accused of killing Tahira Ahmed at their home in Merton Avenue, Northolt, west London, on 27 May. A post-mortem examination found that both the victim's arms had been broken, she had suffered stab wounds and her head had been cut off. The couple are reported to have had two children aged between 6 and 12. Ahmed, who is 41, entered his plea at the Old Bailey via video link from prison. He will stand trial for killing the 38-year-old on 19 January next year. Source: Sky news
